Brainstorm to show advanced XR production and immersive presentations at IBC
The company announces more advanced developments for XR production, along with new features and applications for Edison, using NVIDIA GPU technology
IBC 2022, stand 7.B01. Brainstorm, leading manufacturer of real-time 3D graphics and virtual studio solutions, will be present at IBC 2022, stand 7.B01, showcasing the latest developments of its product range, unveiling Suite 5.1 and Suite 5.2, the latest versions of its flagship products InfinitySet, Aston and eStudio, that include new features and solutions on top of the Suite 5 introduced at NAB. Also, Brainstorm will introduce Edison 5.1, the new version of the company’s applications for immersive, live presentations and which can be used as a simple-to-use virtual studio in a box. The company will feature a live XR theatre presentation in partnership with Alfalite, the European LED screen manufacturer.
Suite 5.1 also enhances the new features designed to enhance XR content creation and workflows, streamlining the users’ ability to improve their virtual content creation, no matter if they are using LED videowalls or chroma sets to produce virtual content. Suite 5.2 is fully compatible with Unreal Engine 5, Epic Games’ latest development of its render engine. Taking advantage of all the new features present in UE5, Brainstorm now features full integration of objects created in InfinitySet or Aston within the UE environment and vice-versa, providing unmatched flexibility for content creation.
Edison 5.1 also has additional XR features and takes advantage of the new EdisonGO app, to be introduced at IBC, which can use an iPhone or iPad to provide video+tracking information to Edison PRO, allowing for the creation and management of immersive, live AR presentations.
David Alexander, Brainstorm’s Commercial Director, says “the fantastic feedback we’ve received with the introduction of Suite 5 at NAB earlier this year has led us to unveil Suite 5.1 to further expand its new XR/AR features to perfectly match current and future content creation requirements from our customers, which also benefit from NVIDIA’s advanced GPU technology. Being able to showcase our developments using Alfalite’s state-of-the-art LED technology will surely enhance the viewer’s experience.”
These new features are possible thanks to the latest GPU technology by NVIDIA including the NVIDIA RTX A5000 and A6000. NVIDIA will join Brainstorm in a fireside chat at Brainstorm’s booth about “The Marvelous Future of Graphics”, in which Jeremy Krinitt, NVIDIA’s Senior Developer Relations Manager, and Ricardo Montesa, Brainstorm’s CEO and founder, will explore some of the latest trends in advanced graphics today, how Brainstorm is pushing the boundaries of media creation using NVIDIA technologies, and what the industry’s next chapter may look like. The fireside chat, open to all visitors, will take place Saturday September 10, at 1PM.
“Innovation in real-time 3D graphics is made possible by the performance and AI capabilities found in the latest NVIDIA technologies,” says Krinitt. “Brainstorm’s Suite 5 XR production powered by NVIDIA RTX GPUs delivers complex real-time ray-traced graphics to broadcasters, pushing the industry into the next chapter of immersive storytelling.”
